About

Ft. Benning is a closed post, so everyone entering must show ID. All visitors to the post must show a valid license and registration to get a temporary permit. To get to Uchee Creek, you can take AL 165 and 101st Airborne Division Road. If you go in this direction, you won't enter Ft. Benning and no ID is required. Anyone can use the dump station, but there is a $10 fee. No ID is required for this. However, ID is required for camping. Potable and rinse water are available on Alabama Highway 165. Ft. Benning is headquartered in Georgia but also spreads into Alabama. The coordinates given are in Alabama, only a few hundred feet from Georgia. Unfortunately, there is no road that makes the campground easily accessible from Georgia.
