RVingLife is built by and for the RV community. Our members contribute listings, share reviews, and help keep facility information accurate for travelers everywhere. To maintain a positive and productive environment, we ask everyone to follow the guidelines below.
Writing Helpful Reviews
Reviews are the backbone of RVingLife. When writing a review, aim to be informative and fair so that future visitors can make well-informed decisions.
- Be specific: Mention the date of your visit, which facilities you used, and any standout details (positive or negative) that other travelers would find useful.
- Stay factual: Base your review on your own firsthand experience. Avoid speculation or assumptions about things you did not personally observe.
- Provide context: A one-star review is more helpful when you explain exactly what went wrong. Similarly, a five-star review gains credibility when you describe what made the experience exceptional.
- Update when relevant: If conditions at a facility have changed since your last visit, consider updating your review to reflect current circumstances.
Respecting Privacy and Honesty
Trust is essential to a healthy community. Please keep these principles in mind:
- Do not share personal information about other individuals, including staff members, owners, or fellow travelers, without their consent.
- Never post fake or misleading reviews. This includes writing reviews for locations you have not visited or inflating/deflating ratings for personal reasons.
- Disclose any conflicts of interest. If you are affiliated with a facility, make that relationship clear in your review or comment.
- Do not use reviews to make threats, settle personal disputes, or promote unrelated businesses or services.
Maintaining Respectful Interactions
Everyone on RVingLife deserves to be treated with courtesy, whether they are a first-time visitor or a longtime contributor.
- Keep it civil: Disagree with a review or comment? Share your perspective respectfully. Personal attacks, harassment, and inflammatory language are not tolerated.
- No hate speech or discrimination: Content that targets individuals or groups based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic will be removed immediately.
- Report, do not retaliate: If you encounter a review or comment that violates these rules, use the report function or contact our team rather than responding in kind.
- Respect intellectual property: Only post photos and content that you own or have permission to share. Do not copy text from other websites or users.
Content That Will Be Removed
RVingLife reserves the right to remove any content that violates these community rules. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Spam, advertisements, or promotional content unrelated to the listing
- Profane, obscene, or sexually explicit material
- Content that contains personal information of others
- Duplicate reviews or review manipulation
- Content that promotes illegal activities
Consequences
Users who repeatedly violate these guidelines may have their content removed, their review privileges suspended, or their account permanently deactivated. We apply enforcement consistently and will always strive to be fair.
