About
Rockhampton Regional Council provides a free caravan waste dump point at the Explore Rockhampton Visitor Information Centre, 176 Gladstone Road, Allenstown, QLD 4700. We understand it can be tough navigating across highways in long vehicles. Follow our quick 'how to' guide so you can navigate safely without the u-turns. Approaching from North (via Bruce Highway/A1) 1. Turn right into Prospect Street 2. Turn left into Upper Dawson Road 3. Turn left into Ferguson Street 4. The back entry to the Visitor Centre will be on your left, with ample parking for large vehicles. Approaching from South (via Bruce Highway/A1) 1. After passing our famous 'Welcome to Rockhampton' bull statue, take the Upper Dawson Road exit on your left 2. Follow Upper Dawson Road for less than 1km 3. Turn right into Ferguson Street 4. The Visitor Centre will be on your left, with ample parking for large vehicles. Departing the Visitor Centre 1. Exit the parking lot and turn right onto Ferguson Street 2. Turn left onto Upper Dawson Road 3. Follow Upper Dawson Road to rejoin the Bruce Highway in either direction. Rockhampton Regional Council's free dump point offers a place for caravan users to dispose of their grey and black water, as well as sewage waste. It is the most environmentally friendly method of emptying waste from your caravan. The dump point is available for use 24/7.
