Balmorhea State Park, located in arid West Texas, is home to the world's largest spring-fed swimming pool. Constructed in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps, the pool spans 1.3 acres and holds 3.5 million gallons of crystal-clear water, maintaining a temperature between 72 and 76 degrees Fahrenheit. Visitors can enjoy swimming, scuba diving, and snorkeling alongside various aquatic life. The park also offers 34 campsites and the historic San Solomon Springs Courts for overnight stays. Additional amenities include picnic areas, a playground, and restored desert wetlands that serve as habitats for endangered species. ​
